Artist's Comments

This turned out more pokedoll-eske than I meant. Ah well. Still doing pose experiments.

This is one of my first times working with minky and my first time ever embroidering. It's not the best, but I'm going to embroider from now on. It makes it look so official. This isn't normal minky, but button minky since it's all they have at Hobby Lobby. I'm wanting to make the minky switch soon, so this is practice.

I worked on him like five hours straight at a nice little sitting area in the mall yesterday while some guy played guitar. It was really nice. Two little girls were intrigued by my and soudaiya's sewing, so they talked to us. They also named Umbreon Stripes XD so this is Stripes the Umbreon.

size compared to pokedoll and kid: [link]

This Umbreon is for sale for 40.00 plus 5.00 for shipping in the states and 8.00 for shipping to other countries

Nice job! The embroidery looks really nice... I'll have to try that sometime... when I'm not quite so lazy.

Ah, my first thought when I saw it was 'cute!' and then 'wait, is that buttoned minky?' Lol, nothing wrong with that, just kinda took me by surprise.

By embroidering you meant how you made the eyes and circle pattern? A tip - I found that the edges look less ragged and more even if you add extra 1-2mm to the fabric and kinda fold it under before sewing... It's hard to explain. If you saw on the very edges it might look not so refined. If you fold the extra bit underneath then it tends to look better. The downside to it is that it looks a bit thicker that way, so it can't really be used in every plush :/
:iconlonepichu:
hehe yeah, I need to experiment more. I didn't embroider the circles because I didn't have the right color though ^^; but thanks for the tip. I hope to get better, but this is the first time I ever tried anything like that X3 embroidering floss was hard to figure out at first =X

and I get what you mean. I'll have to try that next time :) thanks.
